June is great for many reasons, and I’m pumped to make the best of it! Have some random things to share ranging from music to races….two of my favorite things. Last Friday we ventured out to see Johnny Cooper play at Hank’s in McKinney. Alright folks, listen to me – you have got to go see Johnny Cooper play. He is awesome and puts on a fun show! This kid is only 20 and calls water up to the stage – he jams out to his own tunes like Let it all go and Devil Woman, and then plays some goodies from Tom Petty and the Eagles. We took some of James’ buddies, and they loved it as well. Check him out at http://www.johnnycooper.com/. Gotta check him out while is at local venues for cheap. We woke up at 5:30 the next morning to run in the Race for the Cure in Plano with some school friends and a couple of thousand other people. The race went fast and we had a lot of fun…nice to get a workout in before noon for a good cause.
We ended our first weekend in June with some pool time in Prosper with some friends. We had a great time, but poor Jake had a little too much fun chasing us around and jumping after squirrels. He is so sore and taking some much needed rest until he feels better. Poor guy.
